Method 1: Check Hardware Connections
Recently, if you fiddled with the existing hardware, added new hardware or moved your PC around, perhaps hardware is not inserted properly. These behaviors may let your computer boot to BIOS every time you load the Windows system.
Make sure everything is in order.
- Try removing all peripherals, for example, external hard drives, keyboards, and mouse. Then, try rebooting your computer to have a check.
- Shut down the system and unplug all the cords. Then, press the power button for a minute to discharge it. Plug in the cords, reboot the PC and check if it goes to BIOS.
Method 2: Set Proper Boot Device
If your computer keeps booting to BIOS, the issue may be triggered by the incorrect boot order. Just go to check if there is an appropriate boot device available in BIOS. If you find it, set the disk as the primary boot option.
If your hard drive listed under boot device cannot be found in BIOS, change this hard disk. Check if the disk is plugged in correctly and can work on another PC. If it works fine on another PC, perhaps your motherboard goes wrong and you need to contact your supplier for a proper solution.
Method 3: Run Windows Repair
To perform Windows Repair when computer boots into BIOS automatically, you need to ask a bootable USB stick or CD/DVD disc or help. Just create a bootable device from ISO file in Windows 10 and boot the PC from this device.
Then, click Repair your computer to enter WinRE and click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair. Next, follow the instructions on screen to finish the Windows repair operation.
Method 4: Check the CMOS Battery.
You can take our CMOS battery for a few seconds and then put it back. Next, reboot the PC and it should go to Windows directly rather than BIOS. This way can also remove any password that is set for BIOS. If this way doesn’t work, change the battery.
